PEER YOUTH WORKER
The Peer Youth Worker program gives youth ages 15-17 a chance to work part-time (3-6 hours a week) interacting with their peers.
SALARY:
$9 an hour
REQUIRED:
Must be able to pass an extensive background check, have a valid Utah Driver's License or State Identification card. Youth must attend a mandatory 40-hour training in communication skills, problem solving and youth issue topics, which will take place June 9-13, 2008 from 9 Am to 5 PM at Youth Services, 177 West Price Ave. (3610 South). Attendance is not compensated.

TEMPORARY POSITIONS
YOUTH WORKER 13:
Temporary positions with Salt Lake County Youth Services. This is an on-call position, with no guaranteed hours. You must enjoy interacting with youth, and sometimes entertaining small children.
SALARY:
$9.50 an hour
REQUIRED:
Must be able to pass an extensive background check, have a valid Utah Driver's License and the possibility of completing a Defensive Driving Course after employment. You must attend a Youth Services Orientation that is held the first Thursday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at our offices at 177 West Price Avenue (3610 South). You must also complete and pass a four hour volunteer shift in the program of your choice before being placed on our payroll. There is a County-wide orientation you must attend.
