What Substance Abuse Programs are Offered
by the Division of Youth Services?

We offer two types of programs to address substance abuse issues:

  • Substance Abuse Prevention
  • Substance Abuse Treatment

Youth (ages 12-18) who live in Salt Lake County

Which Substance Abuse Programs is Best for My Child?

Prevention Programs (124k pdf) are for teens that have not experimented with substances, or have experimented with substances but are not using on a regular basis. These teens may be court-involved due to drug or other offenses and may be having problems at school or at home.

Treatment Programs (124k pdf) are for teens that currently use alcohol or other drugs on a regular basis. These teens may be court-involved due to drug or other offenses and may be having problems at school or at home.

Is Thera a Cost for Substance Abuse Programs?

  • Our substance abuse prevention programs are completely free of charge.
  • A co-pay for our substance abuse treatment program is set using a sliding fee scale (based on ability to pay).
