What Does the JRC Do ?
Juvenile Receiving Centers (JRC) provide a place for police to take youth after arrest for status offenses or delinquent acts that do not meet the Detention Admission Guidelines. Receiving Center staff work to provide a safe place for youth, find parents/guardians, and evaluate and refer for other services as needed.
JRC's are the crisis entry point and assessment center for all youth entering Youth Services.
JRC's provide crisis, individual and family counseling and a truancy classroom funded by Granite and Salt Lake School Districts. Both locations of the JRC's are part of the Safe Place network.
